Who is Oswald Chambers?

Steph asked a great question... Who is Oswald Chambers?
Oswald Chambers wrote my fav daily devotional My Utmost for His Highest.
It's quite an amazing daily devotional because everytime i use it, God speaks to me deeply through it and it really doesn't matter when. God has used this amazing man to write this ageless devotional to touch the lives of many in very deep ways. His reflections are always very thought and life provoking, very in your face.

James used it every day for 2 years after he came back to Christ and his life was transformed as a result.

I would strongly recommend it to those who are serious to follow Christ all the way, if not this book will only serve to provoke you.

Expressing our thoughts

It's really strange that programmers that have blogs always tweak their blogs and it's always down. I would imagine that if i can do all the programming in the world, my site would always be up but strangely it's because i can do all the programming in the world that my site is always down.

I think it's got to do with the principle the more i know the more i don't know, the more i don't know, the more i don't know? k, never mind. Just blabbing. I know there's a moral to the story. Just that i can't figure it out at this point. Oh wells...

I observe with interest the "hoo ha" about the punishment on the bloggers who made racist comments. I still maintain that we should be able to write whatever we want to write BUT as Christians, we should draw the line at

sexual immorality
impurity
lust
evil desires
greed
expressions of anger, rage, malice, slander and filthy language

Jesus was a great example. He would just say whatever. It pricked those who deserved to be pricked and each time they tried to get rid of Him. But it didn't stop him from articulating what was the heart of God - whether through stories or through straight to the heart talks. He didn't wait for the government to give Him a chance to express his thoughts and he didn't blame the government for not giving Him a chance to do so. He knew that they would never. But He counted the cost and did it anyway.

Speaking the truth will cost.

I pray that as citizens, we will not just complain for the sake of complaining but we will do what is right in the eyes of God and remain blameless but still speak the truth with gentleness and all respect.
